Footage was recorded in July during the 2014 Boarfish (Capros aper) acoustic survey onboard the commercial vessel the FV Felucca based in Killybegs. Physical trawl sampling forms a key part of the survey and is used to groundtruth the composition of fish aggregations detected acoustically. The biological information from the catch is used to determine the biological parameters of the stock including age profile, maturity and spawning state. The use of optics within trawl is used as a further mea
