A band of rain affecting central and southern England slowly makes its way northwards through the day, with showers over Northern Ireland turning to longer spells of wet weather through the afternoon. A few showers for Wales and the south west of England, as well as parts of northern Scotland. The band of persistent rain will move north through the evening and overnight, bringing some heavy rain to eastern parts of Northern Ireland.
